If you haven’t had a chance to check out ABC’s Wipeout on Wednesday night, I highly recommend that you do so.  The show starts with 24 contestants, and each of them attempt a timed run through an obstacle course dubbed ”The Qualifier”.  The top twelve contestants advance to the next round and a new obstacle; from there it’s cut down to six, and then to a final four.  The last four try to conquer The Wipeout Zone and claim the $50,000 grand prize.  The best part of the show (besides the bone-crushing impacts and falls of course) is the tongue-in-cheek commentary provided by former Talk Soup host John Henson, and SportsCenter anchor John Anderson.  They enjoy poking fun at the contestants, and love talking about my favorite obstacle, “The Big Balls” (pictured above).   I admit the show is a tad sadistic and the humor is on the sophomoric side, but when did that become such a bad thing?
