He’s The Best Around

Today marks the 48th birthday of a man who was once a two-time champion in the “All Valley Karate Tournament”, and master of the elusive Miyagi Crane Kick.  It seems like only yesterday that Daniel San raised that big ass trophy over his skinny Italian head, and showed those flaxen-haired California punks of Cobra Kai that a 25 year-old with Benjamin Button Disease is capable of winning a high school karate competition.  His accomplishments amazingly didn’t end there, however, as he would also go on to: save several Okinawa villagers from a deadly monsoon, help put an end to a long standing feud between the Greasers and the Soc, and enter a guitar battle sponsored by the Devil that would win back an old bluesman’s soul.  So without further adieu, let’s pay tribute to The Man, The Myth, The Macchio:
