Enter the Ninja

Die Antwoord is a “zef” rap/rave group from South Africa that describes itself as: “a loveable, mongrel-like entity made in Zuid Afrika, the love child of diverse cultures – black, white, coloured and alien, all pumped into one wild and crazy journey down the crooked path of enlightenment”.  The three person group is fronted by a man named Ninja (who looks like Jim Carrey when he did the Vanilla Ice parody), and also features Y-olandi “Rich Bitch” Visser, and DJ High Tec.  According to the information I found, the word zef is an Afrikaan term that loosely means “common” - after watching this video, I can’t help but think the intended defintion was lost in translation:

Warning: Contains language, and a guy with Progeria who may show up in your nightmares:

Ok, so it turns out they’re not a real group per se; neither was Spinal Tap, but that doesn’t make their stuff any less entertaining.  More Die Antwoord on YouTube
